Hiccups!

OK, so tonight we are sitting on the couch and I felt the baby moving (he is SO active anymore - it is great!) and I started laughing. Michael asked what was going on and I told him I have no idea what the little guy is doing but he is moving around a lot. It kept happening and then I realized it is the baby with hiccups! It was the cutest thing. Just lasted a couple of minues, but was a regular rhythmic thing. It was so precious I got tears in my eyes! God is just so good to us, giving us this little guy. I pray every day that he will show us how to be the best parents we can be for this guy. He is infinitely precious and dear to us, and we know he is even moreso to God. Every kick and punch (and hiccup!) is a blessing!

  1. So cute!!! When Sofia started doing that (about 30 weeks) she only continued it more and more frequently. I LOVED IT! It took me a while to figure out what the heck the rhythmic vibrations were (in my crouch)!! What is even funnier is during labor she was also hiccuping and once she was born, she still was. It was something she continued to do regularly for the first 6 months of her life. It would alway remind me of when I was pregnant with her. (Still does)

Such a small little blessing, but a glimpse of an even BIGGER one!! I love it!

  2. Awwwe, God bless you. When I was pregnant with my son, he got the hiccups a lot in my belly, so I know how that feels. Then when he was born he seemed to get the hiccups quite often still. It ended up insiring me to write a kids book. I just had a children's book published called "Huckleberry's Hiccups". Check it out at www.strategicbookpublishing.com/HuckleberrysHiccups.html
    And enjoy them hiccups!
    Thanks!
